School Academics

The school is a contemporary space with the most recent technology to aide the learning process. Furthermore, our curriculum is a carefully thought out strategy to make a child's academic years more yielding and fulfilling.NPPS prides in being the first of its kind in Kolhapur because of its infrastructure and curriculum. Furthermore, the curriculum extends to multi-disciplinary co-curricular activities, promising a holistic experience for every child. Although the school follows the Maharashtra State Board Curriculum, This year onwards, NPPS has tied up with Cambridge Knowledge Partner and has imbibed CBSE Pattern to enable every child to have a Global exposure.

We pride ourselves on the teacher student ratio of 1:20, which ensures individual attention and guarantees quality of learning for each child. A special feature of academics at NPPS is personalized remedial and tutorial classes not only for weaker students but also for higher achievers, assisting both categories of students to constantly improve upon their respective academic performances. Performance of students in assessments is routinely analysed for identifying students who can benefit from additional help in order to improve their performance.

The Year 2019-20 marked as the glorious in the history of Narake’s Panhala Public School & Jr. College as the school was granted approval of National Cadet Corps (NCC) which is considered as the youth wing of the Armed Forces. The NCC is engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. For the current year a batch of 25 students including 8 girls got the honour of being the first batch of NCC belonging to 5 MAH Battalion. The cadets receive basic military training by an Army officer who conducts parades, obstacles and training sessions every week. True to its motto, ‘Unity & Discipline’, these cadets will undoubtedly groom to become the ‘Pride of our Nation’.

Along with academic development, the school lays emphasis on Co-curricular activities as well. There are numerous activities like debate, art, music, dance, drama, Quiz sessions, Yoga, etc to ignite the latent potential of the child. Students are taken for Educational tours to different locations within India so that they can have a first-hand experience, explore new innovations & learn.

Assemblies form an integral part of our daily routine. We firmly believe that Assemblies play an important role in building community across grades. Every assembly is based on a topic that is relevant to our commitment to the community and society as a responsible and ethical social human being. Led by students, every morning assembly sets the tone for the day, highlights the exciting events happening at the School and celebrates student birthdays and achievements. Moreover, Assemblies are enhanced by Sanskrit shlokas which transmits the traditional values to our children.

Narake’s Panhala Public School & Jr. College strongly believes in the dictum, ‘Empowering the Youth for the Future’. We need to empower the youth and give them a sense of responsibility to be able to take on leading roles in the future in service to the society and nation at large. Keeping this in mind, the Student’s Council is formed by selecting the students from each class who go on to play leading roles in the Student Council. The Council consist of The Head Boy, Head Girl, Captain, Four House Captains & the Monitors of each class. The student council plays an active role in the smooth functioning of the school. As Mother Teresa would say, “All of us cannot do great things, but we all can do small things with great love”. The student council contributes greatly towards maintaining the Discipline of the school, actively participates in organizing the school functions and coordinates as a link between the teachers and the students.

School Clubs

Involving the students into extracurricular activities of their interest is a way of grooming the students socially, intellectually, and creates a joyful learning atmosphere at Narake’s Panhala Public School. Students find solace in being a part of various clubs like Bird watching Club, Music Club, Sports Club etc. Panhala is blessed by scenic nature beauty and its lush green environment is apt for Nature Club like the Bird Watching Club. During the weekends, students of Bird watching club gear up with their binoculars, put on their trekking pants and along with their teacher-in-charge venture out in the natural surrounding to catch a glimpse of their favourite birds in the locality. This creates a sense of responsibility among the students who grow up to care and conserve their nature.
